I am so excited to share this company with you! I recently contacted AllerMates to invite them to the Food Allergy Bloggers Conference I am organizing. I sort of knew about their products from just seeing them online, and from other bloggers. I admit I had not really looked at everything they are making and offering, mainly because I assumed with all of my boys allergies, they would not be practical for us. Was I ever wrong! I received a care package from them today, and you would think it was Christmas! My boys are SO excited checking out their gifts! Just in time for Back to School too! I love- LOVE- these Lunch boxes!  They say “I have food allergies” on the front and the side of them. We were sent two different latex-free bracelets that snap on, and are adjustable. I like the one shown here with the different buttons you can order to attach onto them. I loved that there were ones that said “asthma” and “I carry an epi-pen” , as well as various common food allergens. We also love the epi-pen carrier, with a long adjustable strap, two velcro belt loop straps, and a carabiner hook to allow ease in carrying them. For those of you who are wondering, I can fit either my Epi-Pens or Auvi-Qs in these carriers with ease.

The boys were so excited about their gifts! They immediately asked me to fix the buttons onto their bracelets and are now wearing both of their new ones! Jacob grabbed his lunchbox and went into my kitchen and packed it with a banana, and a bag of carrots -his “safe” foods! So funny!

An added bonus were the “I have Food Allergies” Stickers included inside the lunch box! I think these will be great for start of school, field trips, and social events!  The “Don’t Eat Me” stickers are great for labeling allergens in snacks at gatherings as well.

Hello Christmas!!! I LOVE all the bright and cheery awareness. The lunch box is my favorite and I like that the products are latex free. We sometimes get so incredibly focused on food allergies that we over look latex and other allergies.

I look forward to learning more about their products at the Food Allergy Bloggers Conference.

Do the bracelets with the snap on pieces adjust to fit a 2 year old???? Would they be safe??

I think they would be safe. The buttons that can be plugged in were pretty hard for me to put in, so I assume a 2 year old would have trouble removing them. As far as the size, you may want to call them or check their website to see if they have actual measurements. Good luck!
