I am sharing this, because I think it is important! Please read this then go read Angela’s post too! It is important information and I want you all to be well informed and safe! The following is from Kids with Food Allergies founder, Lynda Mitchell:
“By the end of June, there will be 4 epinephrine auto injectors on the US market – Adrenaclick, Auvi-Q, EpiPen and a generic of Adrenaclick. Patients will need to be mindful of the device they leave the pharmacy with and make sure that it’s the device they expected and that they have been adequately trained on the device to know how to use it in an emergency.
Angela Nace, PharmD, our board liaison to our Medical Advisory Team, took the lead on writing a blog post for us that explains what patients need to know about getting a epinephrine auto-injector filled now.”
