Premae Allergen-free Skincare

I am so pleased to share this lovely company I have been in contact with,  Premae Skincare.  Owner/founder Clare Eluka was kind enough to send me some samples of her Clemensy Balm to use on Jacob’s eczema. It is nice because it doesn’t sting or irritate his skin!  Based in UK, Premae  manufactures face and body skin care products that are free of the top 8 allergens and many other irritants!~ The products are vegan, natural, and they eliminate cross contamination from the top 8 allergens as well! In addition to being an allergen safe product, Premae also is environmentally friendly. They “insist on etho-ethic practices in every division of the brand.”  They do no animal testing, all ingredients are 100% vegan, natural and unrefined, exceeding Organic standards!~ They also do a lot of charity work in Uganda, helping communities manufacture their own products and provide income by pioneering sustainable growth programs.

“Our products do not contain the following: Milk, Eggs, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Fish, Shellfish, Soy, Wheat. ” They are also free of “Sodium Laureth Sulfate [Palm oil], Alcohol, Gluten (Fructose Syrup, Hydrologised Wheat, Wheat Germ Oil), Lanolin, Beeswax, Petrochemicals (Petrolatum, paraffin, mineral oil, castor oil), Lactic Acid, Parabens, Ureas, Synthetic Fragrances, colours, and polymers, MEA/DEA/TEA, Sulfates, Quats (Benzalkonium chloride, Steardimonium chloride, Cetrimonium bromide and (Cetrimonium chloride) ”

So many times we start focusing so much on we are eating or feeding our children we forget about some of the other places their allergens can hide.  Jacob got diagnosed when he was about 1-year-old, with an oat allergy, it was about a month later when I realized the Aveeno baby bath I was using was oat derived!~ My ‘Duh!’ moment!~

Many parents underestimate the sensitivity of their child’s skin. While it may be tempting to save money and use the same dry skin care products on your baby’s skin as you would on your own, this can cause serious problems. Imagine using bar soap on the sensitive skin of your face as compared to a specialty product designed for the chemistry of your skin. It would likely end up causing you a great deal of discomfort. The same thing would happen to your baby’s skin if you were to consistently use products geared for adults to cleanse it. An unhappy baby can be a very loud baby, and dry skin can make babies incredibly unhappy.^
